Garbage in, Garbage out
Hello biological brains,
As time goes on, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of the developments and deployments of AI. While we strive to highlight the top AI news and related topics, we ensure that it doesn't become a burden for you.
So, here are this week’s top picks:
Garbage in, Garbage out
A new study performed by a group of researchers found that AI models collapse when trained on data generated by other AI systems. An AI model is said to be "collapsed" when there is a deviation from the original data distribution and decreased functional expressivity, which eventually leads to inaccurate, poor quality outputs. This results in the models being less creative and less reliable.
What We Have Learned from This New Study?
AI models are not infallible and can degrade in performance over time, especially if trained on data generated by previous versions of themselves.
AI is by humans, for humans! So, indeed, we need human-generated data to maintain the quality and accuracy of AI systems.
Understanding the fact that AI is not God! It can be faulty and we need to embrace it.
If you feed garbage, AI will give you garbage! So, Human authority is must on the development and deployment of AI systems.
Now-a-days, internet is full of AI-content. So, think twice before consuming any online content.

Llama 3.1 update
In our last newsletter, we already mentioned the release of Llama 3.1. It’s a family of three open source AI models. The best version of the model has 405 billion parameters which means 405 billion connections in a network! With this version, Llama has placed itself among the top AI models, performing equivalent to rival closed models especially, ChatGPT-4s, the Claude 3.5 Sonnets and the Gemini Ultras with a context window of 128K tokens (around 200 pages of text). The latest version is available right now on WhatsApp and the Meta AI chatbot.
Interestingly, it is a open-source AI model. You can download the model here and start building your own AI app on the top of it without paying a penny!
You will soon see it on Facebook, IG, Messenger, and even on AI glasses.
Kling AI is out of the cage
Recently, a new AI video generator made headlines with its incredible video quality, surpassing OpenAI’s Sora. Initially released only in China, it has now become available worldwide.
To access this platform, you need to register with your email ID. You will receive 66 free credits per day, which is significantly higher than many other video generators. This platform allows you to generate both AI images and AI videos. AI image generation is powered by the Ketu Large Model, while AI video generation is powered by the Keling Large Model.
You can choose between three video resolutions: 960x960 square format, 720p landscape, and 720p portrait mode. Additionally, you can control the camera by selecting different camera movements such as static, horizontal, vertical, pan, tilt, or rolling.
